Your video stays on your device
schneiden.video never uploads your video to a server. The file is read directly in the browser and cut on your computer, so footage from training and matches – often with youth players – stays with you. A large match video also doesn't have to be uploaded for hours first.
Best on a computer
A computer or laptop with Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge is recommended; Firefox works too. Phones and tablets work as well, but it can take considerably longer. Tip: while you type the times, schneiden.video already prepares the clips in the background, so the end is quick.

Is my video uploaded to a server?
No. The video is never uploaded. schneiden.video reads the file directly in the browser and cuts it on your device. This matters for footage of youth players, too.
Do I need video editing skills?
No. You watch the match as usual, note the times of the scenes and type them as start and end times. schneiden.video cuts the clips and joins them into one video.
How do I write the times?
One clip per line with start and end, e.g. 3:33-3:42 or 12:11 to 12:30. Separate several clips on one line with commas. Hours work as 1:02:10, fractions of a second with a dot, e.g. 3:33.5. 12_11 and 12/11 are understood as well.
Can I join several videos, e.g. the first and second half?
Yes. You can choose up to 5 videos and enter separate times for each. The order of the tabs is the order in the finished video, and you can change it.
Does schneiden.video work on a phone?
Yes, but it can take considerably longer than on a computer. A computer or laptop with Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge is recommended.
Which videos are supported?
Common video files such as MP4, MOV (e.g. from an iPhone), M4V, MKV and WebM, including full matches of several gigabytes. iPhone videos (HEVC) work most reliably in Google Chrome.
What is the quality of the finished video?
Clips are cut frame-accurately at the times you enter, in high quality and at the original resolution by default. The result is an MP4 file (H.264) that plays on practically every device and in every presentation.
How long does cutting take?
It depends on the total length of the clips, not on the length of the match. While you type the times, schneiden.video already prepares the clips in the background. On a computer the finished video is usually ready within seconds to a few minutes.
Is schneiden.video suitable for coaching courses?
Yes. Coaching courses often ask for match scenes on one topic, such as pressing, transitions or set pieces. With schneiden.video you only type the times and quickly have a finished analysis video.
Do I have to sign up or install anything?
No. schneiden.video runs directly in the browser, without an account and without installation.
What is stored?
Your list of times is only kept in your browser, so it is still there after a reload. Without consent we only count that the tool is used, and errors – without recognizing you.
